Gotheren / July (Cornish) The month when things get kind of wild in Cornwall. While most people pack bags and head for the airport or the nearest coast, we stay firmly put.

We’ve spent every spare moment either on, in or watching the ocean and I am so grateful for the time I’ve been able to share with my family and friends at the beach this Summer. Visiting Cornwall this summer? Check out the Wood Paper Scissors blog for plenty of ideas of where to visit with insiders information! This week we're heading to Kynance Cove on the Lizard.
A recent trip to the St Ives Barbara Hepworth museum and gardens of sculpture. I took so many amazing photo's I wanted to share them in a blog post. I found it such an inspirational place and hope you can get a sense of that. I feel so lucky to have such a place on our doorstep. It is hard to explain but visiting is almost like stepping back in time, whilst being thrust forward. The modern, commanding sculptures are beautifully dramatic, but there is still a sense of the artist still being here. There are her tools in the workshop and plants in the greenhouse, there's even a cat asleep on the window ledge.
